Pinned Gist

What is Gist?

While scrolling through social media, we often come across posts that spark our interest—maybe a useful code snippet, a clever idea, or a link or resource worth saving. But social platforms don’t allow actual hyperlinks in posts (and for good reason), which makes it hard to interact with that content beyond just a screenshot.

That’s where gist.whiskay.dev comes in.

It’s a space to capture the gist of those posts—whether it’s code you want to edit, text you want to copy, or notes you’d rather store neatly instead of piling up thousands of screenshots you’ll never revisit.

The word gist itself comes from GitHub Gist: “a way to share code snippets, notes, or small files.”

Think of this as a similar idea, but for social media content—making it more usable, editable, and accessible.

Another key feature is comments and discussions. Just like GitHub Gists, every gist here can become a conversation starter. You can share your thoughts, ask questions, or collaborate with others right on the content itself.
